Floss's parents split up when she was younger . . .

Floss divides up her week, spending five days with her mum, her mum's new boyfriend and her new baby half-brother. The other two days Floss spends with her dad, helping him to run his greasy spoon cafe. But then their simple arrangement is thrown into disarray when Floss's mum decides to move to Australia for six months. Floss has to choose whether to go with her or stay with her dad. She picks her dad and they muddle along happily together, surviving on chip butties and enjoying visits to the local funfair. But then disaster strikes, Dad's money troubles catch up with him and they have to move out of the cafe. They're homeless –but can their new fairground friends help out?

I love the whole story, it was really awesome and I couldn't have loved it more! I quite like making lists myself just like Floss! I loved how Floss turned to Susan instead of that other girl whose name I forgot now! I would be way too frightened of changing friends like that! Not that I want to! I've got two best friends who are twins and to me they are better friends then Susan! But thats just me! I really like Susan though because she's so smart! I'm really smart too! But I'm also really popular, but not mean popular like Floss's old friend whose name I forgot! I'm very kind!

this is one of the best books and i read over and over again i've even had is out on cd from my local libray so i could listen to it as i was going to sleep it keet awake till the very end of it i love the part were so gose off with susan because i think susan i really nice girl before i read this book i had never herd of chip buttys but there one of my favourite food

the moment i picked up this book i couldn't put it down! It was sad and happy and funny in parts. I love the kind women Rose in the candyfloss store and Floss's funny dad. Then mean Rhianon and Margot and Judy i hate them all! Readers from age 9+ could read this i think
